Replycard Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the Replycard app and its reply service ("the app", "the service"), made by Johan Pienaar, trading as Slatefox ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
Apple's standard licence also applies
Replycard is licensed, not sold. Your use is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms add to it; if anything here conflicts with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA prevails for your use on Apple devices.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Replycard on Apple devices you own or control, for your own event-planning purposes. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app except as allowed by law or the Apple EULA.
The reply service
Replycard includes a hosted service so your guests can reply from a link without installing anything. It is provided on an "as available" basis: we aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may update or modify the service. If we ever plan to discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice so you can collect your replies first.
Reply links act as access keys. Anyone with a party's link can view that party's greeting and submit or change its reply, so share each link only with its intended household. Reply data is retained briefly and deleted on a schedule (including automatic deletion after your event) as described in the Privacy Policy - collect replies into the app before they are purged.
You are responsible for what you put in greetings and event details, and your guests for what they submit; don't use the service for anything unlawful, abusive, or unrelated to genuine event replies. We may suspend abuse of the service (e.g. spam or attempts to disrupt it).
Purchases
The app is free to try with some limits. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks the full version (reply links for your whole guest list, reminders, and export). Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the App Store's terms; refunds are handled by Apple under their policy. The unlock applies to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices.
Your content
Everything you create in Replycard - your events, guest list and collected replies - is yours. The authoritative copy lives on your device; the service holds only the minimum needed to collect replies, briefly (see the Privacy Policy). The app keeps a small recovery snapshot so a reinstall can restore your list, but you remain responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important.
Acceptable use
Use the app and service lawfully and don't misuse them or attempt to disrupt or compromise them.
No warranty
Replycard is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app or service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slatefox will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data arising from scheduled deletion (described above) or your failure to keep backups. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version; continued use of the app means you accept the current terms.
